General Election Pledge

In the 2024 General Election, the Respect at Work campaign put workers’ rights on the agenda.
We are delighted to say that 89 TDs from across the political spectrum signed our election pledge, which represents a majority of the 34th Dáil.
“I pledge to support legislation which promotes collective bargaining, protects workplace representatives and ensures the right to access a trade union at work.”
The new Government has reflected this by committing to an Action Plan for Collective Bargaining in its Programme for Government.
In the coming weeks, we will be working to hold them to account.
If you want to see stronger workers’ rights in Ireland – join our campaign and let’s make them a reality!
